I’m considering putting on some wide fenders from Baja kits and using spacers for the wheels. Or do you guys think it’s better to replace all the parts behind the wheels instead? Anyone here done something similar or know a lot about Baja kits? Let me know your thoughts.
Unless you’re planning to go for mid or long travel suspension, I’d skip it. It’s not going to look great.
I’ve tried spacers on my Raptor before, but I didn’t like them much. If safety is a priority, replacing the components is probably the better route.
Oh wow… please don’t. If that’s the look you really want, go ahead, but just slapping on wider fiberglass fenders without upgrading everything else is as poser as it gets.
You’re talking about replacing everything behind the wheels… do you even know what that involves? And stop calling it a wide body kit—it’s fiberglass flares, not some Supra setup. If you just use spacers, it’s going to look terrible. You’d need massive spacers, which isn’t practical. Either stick with stock or go all in and spend the $20,000+ to do it properly.

Haha, yeah, I didn’t feel like listing all the details. A friend suggested it, so I wanted to ask people who’ve done it before. That’s why I’m here asking for real advice.
