Every time I start my car this past week, the radio keeps asking the setup questions, like accepting the CarPlay terms, whether I want to use CarPlay, the 911 auto-call feature, and so on. Does anyone know why this might be happening? I don’t think the car battery is the issue, so I’m wondering if there’s a separate battery for the stereo that might be resetting? Any suggestions would be really helpful!
I also get asked about the 911 feature every time, super annoying.
Have you checked if you’re running the latest Sync 3 software? There was a bug where the system wouldn’t save preferences, and it caused this issue. I think the problem was the system logging too much and running out of space, which meant it couldn’t save your settings.
The latest update fixes this by clearing the partition and stopping the space issue.

I updated it like 6 months ago, maybe a year, but I’m not sure if it’s the latest. I’ll give this a try, thanks for the suggestion!

Just checked, and my car is behind on updates, so I’ll try that. I’ll update everyone if it works, just in case anyone else has the same issue. Thanks again!

Yeah, that makes sense. I think the early 2024 update was buggy. I had the same issue earlier this year, and it was super frustrating.
