Performance Mods for 2023 Ford Edge ST - Need Tips

Just got a 2023 Ford Edge ST, only driven 5.5k miles so far. I’m looking into Stage-1 tuning and wondering about the best options for:

  1. ECU tuning
  2. Cold air intake
  3. High-flow downpipe
  4. Upgraded intercooler

Where can I buy reliable parts for these? Is it necessary to do all of these mods for Stage-1, or will an ECU remap and cold air intake be enough?

I’ve only done the ECU tuning so far and left everything else stock. I’m still considering the intercooler upgrade. Not sure if the air intake will boost performance much over the stock one, but I haven’t ruled it out yet. The tuning alone makes a huge difference—car has crazy acceleration, and I’m even getting better gas mileage. Running a mid-performance 93 octane tune at the moment.

Thanks! Can you share more details about the ECU tuning you did?

What tune are you using?

Here’s what I’m considering:

Intercooler

Intake

I’m still debating between tunes from 5 Star, Livernois, and Cobb. Leaning towards Livernois. Be careful with the transmission—it doesn’t have a lot of torque headroom.

Quick question: Did the Ford Fusion have the same 2.7L EcoBoost V6, or am I mistaken?

Good catch! I posted the wrong link earlier. Here’s the right intake: Rapid Rapid Induction Cold Air Intake System w/ Pro 5R Filter for 2015

Ah, got it. Been looking at the same intake for my ‘20 but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

I asked a similar question about coilovers and got no replies, so I’ll take what I can from here. Thanks, everyone!

I’ve got 10k miles on mine and haven’t felt the need for coilovers yet. The stock ST suspension is solid, especially for flat roads. If I start tracking the car, though, I’d consider upgrading.

Bought a K&N intake off Amazon, but it didn’t have a MAF sensor connection. Learned the hard way that it wouldn’t work with my setup.
