@Ford
I peeled that one off the fender, of course. There is a guy that makes a badge relocation kit that he 3D prints.
@Ford
Dude, nice setup and well thought out. I’m looking to do something similar when I go to 37s after the 35s wear out. I’ll do new coilovers for the lift and the JKS max tire kit with DV8 fender liners. Already have the Hoss 3.0 steering rack and tie rods.
For now, I switched out my springs for Dobinsons HD ones. They gave me back the inch I lost and gained about ¾ inch over stock height. I didn’t want to raise it too much to keep my shocks in the optimal position. So, I’m happy for now until the 35s wear out.
Thanks for the post.
@Ford
Thank you. I’ve had this since July and obsessively researched options ever since. Finally got out of my paralysis by analysis and pulled the trigger. Waited for a few sales to hit and ‘saved’ a little money along the way.
@Ford
My Mickeys got installed today as well. It’s a great-looking tire and quiet compared to the factory ones.
@Ford
They are surprisingly quiet for a mud tire. I can hear a slight howl below 30mph in the neighborhood. But I need to play with tire pressures a little. The installer went too high and followed the door badge at 39psi. But I have the ARB onboard compressor, so I’m going to play around with that this weekend and also do some Forscan speedometer calibrating.
@Ford
Ok. I love my black diamond and the steelies, but this might be my new favorite look on the Bronco. Phenomenal job, friend.
@Ford
Thank you. Steelies are a classy look too.
@Ford
Looks perfect! RIP MPG?
@Ford
16.5 mpg in stop-and-go street traffic on the way home. That was at 39psi. Will be dropping that psi lower, though. It’s about smiles per gallon. I run 93 octane anyway.
@Ford
That’s awesome, better than my stock BadSquatch! Looks really good.
@Ford
Thank you.
@Ford
I’d probably be getting 2mpg less with regular 87 octane.
@Ford
I’m going to try the higher octane next fill-up. Last night I was down to 2 miles till empty, I filled up with 16.2 gallons in, of my 2-door’s 16.9-gallon capacity! So there’s a little wiggle room but not much.
@Ford
It just runs better, in my opinion. I don’t have the performance tune yet, but plan to get it. Figured I’d go ahead and get myself accustomed to paying for premium because the tune requires it. 20-21 average mpg on the highway, before the new lift, when I was running the SAS package with 93 octane.
@Ford
Are you going to have the dealership install it? I’ve heard it smooths out the shifting also.
@Ford
Yes, definitely. I bought an extended warranty, so I don’t want to risk voiding that with the tune.
@Ford
Might as well have them do the exhaust too! I’ve got a neighbor who had the upgraded exhaust done. Sounds kind of good but borderline too much.
