New 2024 Tremor

I think I found a great deal on a brand new 2024 Tremor. What are your thoughts?

Price: $68k
Odometer: 40 miles
Equipment Package: 402A High
Bed Utility Package
Tow Haul Package

OP, some people will say that’s too much, but I don’t think they’ve shopped for Tremors. The discounts for Tremors were not like the other F150s. At least not when I was shopping for mine 8 months ago. I had to drive 6 hours to find the price I got on mine. I think $68k for that package is quite good.

@Zack
Agreed. Like you, I’m driving 7 hours for this one, whereas it was over $10k more in my state for a similar setup.

Compared to a $100k Raptor, it’s a great deal!

Oh, that’s nice!

That sounds like a good deal. I just got a 2024 STX 4x4 5.0 for about $42k with rebates. Without those, it would be about $51k. Loving it! About to do a level kit, exhaust, tires, and more.

Mine’s a 5.0 as well. Love the sound and performance.

It’s your money; do what you want to do!

Beautiful truck. $68k though… I know that’s the new normal essentially, but that’s still a tough leap for me to make.

I got my 2024 Lariat 502A for $69k after discounts and rebates a few weeks ago. I wonder if OP settled and didn’t bother shopping around.

@Oakley
I don’t know; they make all these different trims because people have different desires & needs. That is normal pricing; the Lariat goes for $1,000 more.

I understand a lot of people look at the Lariat as the best option, but it doesn’t make it a better truck. They have quite a few differences.

The Lariat is more of a pavement princess with the luxuries of modern vehicles vs. the Tremor, which has off-road tuned suspension, rock crawl, Ford trail control, skid plates, a different gear set, etc.

I feel like you’re saying the Lariat is a better truck, and that may be how you feel, but it’s simply not true. One thing I really dislike about the Lariat is the sound system because I’m an audiophile. I don’t want to pay extra for Ford’s premium sound system if I plan to replace it, and adding aftermarket sound systems to a B&O system is a pain because the factory amp is integrated.

I could go on about my preferences, but honestly, I’m not here to change anyone’s mind. Some people want a heated steering wheel and other electronic-controlled equipment that simply doesn’t interest everyone (myself included). How often do you need to adjust your gas pedal or steering wheel, honestly? I’m also not a fan of the sunroof anymore—too many issues with maintenance and leaks.

It really isn’t about money for me. I used to want a Lariat myself until I learned more about these trims and trucks in general. The things that I want are pretty much all included in a 302A package—remote start, power rear window, heated front seats, etc. I don’t have kids, and if I did, their butts could live without heated rear seats just like I did growing up. A lot of these features are just more power draw on the truck’s system (it is designed to handle it though, I am aware) and more things to go wrong down the road.

This isn’t all directed at you—I understand you love your truck, and I’m happy for you. It just came off the wrong way to me and inspired me to write a novel. I think it’s important people shop for what they need. If that ends up being a Tremor or XLT, that’s perfect—the Lariat is not a superior vehicle by any means. It’s just different.

@Theodore
No offense taken at all, and I agree with your points. My thought process was I can always mod a Lariat into an overland rig, but there are features the Tremor doesn’t have, so it was an obvious choice for me!

@Oakley
Absolutely, brother. It all comes down to personal preference and taste. The Lariat is a nice, comfortable ride with a lot of nice options as well. It may not be my desire anymore, but there’s a reason they sell so well!

@Oakley
I shopped around. This is an out-of-state purchase. It was running between $75k-$80k in my state.

That’s fair, and damn, that’s crazy. Did you look out of state as well?

@Theodore
The higher the trim, the less the value. The 302A XLT and FX4 hit the sweet spot, in my opinion. It offers what most buyers need and keeps discounts and incentives. People can buy whatever they want, but my FX4 is more capable with a good aftermarket suspension than a stock Tremor.

Yeah, I’m driving 7 hours to pick it up, lol.

Damn. But hey, congrats on the great truck! I think 2023/2024 are probably more reliable vs. 2021/2022 without sacrificing too much of the deleted features like the 2025s do. The Tremor’s front is the coolest of all the trims, in my opinion.

@Oakley
Agreed! Clean yet aggressive. I also dig the Raptor running boards on it.

Very nice!

That’s a good deal on the new ones. It’s the price of the base Tremor.
