Imagine comparing a dealer trade-in value vs private sale. Your truck was definitely worth more than $12k; the dealer will double their investment.
Not on my old POS. A taillight was cracked. The cam phasers were rattling for the second time… it had close to $12,000 in repairs done to it while I owned it. I feel sorry for whoever gets it next.
Pay for the Carfax report, pay for a mechanic to look it over. Don’t roll the dice. Everything in the world is telling them their truck is worth more. Why don’t THEY think it is? Maybe they just hate money.
@Anthony
Agreed on the Carfax and inspection (for any used vehicle). But I have to ask… do you think this is underpriced? It is an 8-year-old truck. If it weren’t for the mileage, I’d say it’s overpriced. In fact, I wouldn’t offer $27,500 for it. So with that said, it’s not sparking any suspicion from me.

Not giving up my truck for shop unless you’re the only one buying. I’ll sell it to the next guy tomorrow before you even find a shop to take it within a week.

I mean that’s on you but it makes the whole thing even sketchier. What is wrong with this truck that he doesn’t want to see but is willing to take a loss for? So what you want, but you’ll be waiting for somebody with money to potentially get burned on.
@Anthony
Because it is based on my schedule and my feelings on other buyers who are willing to take my word and my records on what’s been done to it. If I wanted such a thing, I’d do it myself and include it with the sale already. But that’s just me. I can’t expect others to do that and go along with it.
