Hey everyone? So, I’m 25, and I’m looking to buy my first car. There’s a 1999 Ford Mustang GT that’s caught my eye. It’s got a V8 engine with 115,682 miles, looks like it’s been well-maintained, and might’ve had some work done. They’re asking $9,999 for it. What do you all think?
Honestly, man, the market for those '99-'04 Mustangs is wild. No GT with over 100k miles should be priced near 10k unless it’s a Cobra, and even then, it’s gotta be something special.
I bought a 2009 GT Premium with a glass roof for $2,500 just a few months back, and it only had 99k miles.
Dude, if you find another one at that price, hit me up. That’s a steal around here.
Yeah, that sounds way too good to be true, man. I’d be suspicious if I were you.
Same here. But then again, I got a 2021 GT500 for $20 once.
Wait, wait… are you serious? Or is that some kind of wild joke? An ’09 for $2,500? I feel like there’s something missing from that story, man.
New Edges where I’m from are 3-4k minimum, and S197s are even more.
Yo, I get it sounds crazy, but nah, I’m not making this up. Check my profile for the full story if you want. There’s no hidden info, just a lucky find.
Wow, this is wild. I actually bought the same car back in November. What are the chances? She needed a lot of work though; coolant leak, valve cover issues, and some body damage, but I managed to negotiate the price to just under 7k.
Dang, that’s crazy. Sounds like you got a deal after all the repairs.
If I were you, I’d pass on that Mustang. Sure, it looks cool, but '99 wasn’t exactly a fun year for those cars. After the whole catalytic converter thing, they were struggling with power. You might find something more reliable for your 10k budget.
Oh boy, I can’t wait to hear about you crashing it because you decided to do something crazy in it.
Hey, not everyone wrecks their first Mustang. My first car was a '99 GT, and I never crashed it. I had it for two years before upgrading.
