I installed the same one last year, but mine keeps blowing a fuse every now and then.

Mine’s in the engine compartment, hooked up straight to the battery and aux switches. Where did you install yours?

I built a custom mount on the rear tire carrier and used the expedition essentials harness to run the wiring along the passenger side of the vehicle.
I also added the Bluetooth controller in the rear tailgate panel. Makes it easy to set it and walk away, especially useful for stuff like inflating SUPs.

That Bluetooth sounds awesome. I’ll have to check it out.

It’s a bit pricey, but since you’re likely buying the $80 ARB inflator tool anyway, it’s worth it. Plus, you won’t have the inflator’s weight hanging off your hose.

Totally worth it, no doubt!

Mine’s hooked up to the aux switches too. Very accessible and easy to use. Dust levels are high where I live, but no issues so far.

Sounds like a solid setup!
Do you need to remove the spare tire to use it?

Nope, the nozzle goes through the wheel’s alloy, so no need to take the tire off.
I really want one of these. But I’m concerned about how Utah’s red dust would affect it.

It’s not like the compressor runs all the time. Just avoid using it in a dust cloud.

That’s the thing, just driving down a dirt road here in Utah covers everything in fine red sand. It gets into every corner, and cleaning it out from behind the tire would be tough if the filters get caked with dust.

Good point. You could probably come up with a way to cover the intake when it’s not in use.

Check out the AGS Offroad bracket and kit, they include a filter relocation option that moves the intakes inside the tailgate to keep them cleaner. I’ve been using it for a while now, and it’s a great setup.

The intake is covered when not in use, so I just uncover it when I need it.

Solid advice right there.
Now you just need a Morflate or something similar so you can air up all four tires while sipping on a cold drink.
What bracket are you using? Is it connected to the factory AUX switches on the roof?
