How common are glass roofs on 2011-2014 S197 Mustangs? I’ve had my car since 2019 and got it for a lot less than what people are asking for base models now. Mine has the premium package plus the glass roof, and I’ve never come across another 5.0 with this feature. Does anyone know how many of these were made? Are they actually rare? I’ve thought about selling it for something newer, but I keep hesitating because of this feature
They’re pretty rare if I recall correctly, it was a $2000 option so not many people opted for it. I got a used Mustang with one too and I love it
There are a few for sale around my area from the 2014 era
I think it’s definitely rare. It looks cool but that’s a lot of exposure to the sun
There’s actually a shade that rolls inside the frame. I’d go nuts if I couldn’t block the sun. Plus, it has 20% tint all around. The roof might be darker, but I believe the tint is stock
You should really wear sunscreen every day anyway
About 4100 cars were made with a glass roof. Ford built them without roofs initially, then added them later at the Flat Rock assembly plant. Since it wasn’t a highly desired option, it’s a bit heavier but does make the car stiffer than the standard coupe
So, 4100 from 2011-2014?
Total production numbers from 2009-2014 show 4094 made with that option and it had a $1995 price tag
Do you know if there’s a website or any way I could check if my car is one of a hundred or one of a thousand?
You’d need to order a Marti report for that, it’s not something you can look up
When will the 2022 GT500s be available?
