How much does it cost to fix minor scratches on a Mustang?

What’s the cost to repair minor scratches on a 2016 Mustang? How much would it be to buff out scratches and correct the paint?

This Mustang’s paint needs some care. It has a few scratches, swirls, and rock chips, and I’d like to restore the black paint to a brand-new look. I’m not familiar with the process, so what steps are involved in making the paint look fresh again?

That’s not me, it’s my friend swapping out the rims for me. I’m definitely not a country kid like he is, which is why I had him handle it :joy::joy::joy:.

With ceramic coating, it ranges from $500 to $2000. Without ceramic, it’s around $500, give or take a bit depending on the detailer’s reputation. Sometimes, you might find a newer detailer who’s just starting out and score a good deal. That’s how I began. I’m currently working on a black BMW this week and charging $1200.

For a thorough, professional correction, expect to pay between $800 and $1200. If you add a 3-4 year ceramic coating, the total will be around $1200 to $1600. Contact local shops for a quote, most will provide it for free, or the cost might be applied to the service.
