How hot do heated seats really get… anyone else feel like they burn?

I was in the passenger seat yesterday, cranked the heat to max, and fell asleep. Woke up feeling like my seat was on fire. Got home, and my wife says it looks like I have a first-degree burn.

Not serious enough for a doctor, but should I talk to the service department?

Level 3 basically turns your seat into a pizza oven. I use it to keep my pizza warm when picking up dinner.

Same here… works like a charm.

There are three modes:

Hottest: Feels like sitting on the sun
Medium: Campfire on your back
Lowest: Still too warm for some reason

Yeah, sometimes my car resets to max heat, and within 10 seconds, I can tell because I feel like I’m getting cooked.

I usually stick with the lowest setting. The middle one is only for when it’s freezing outside.

Max heat is way too much. I usually stick to 1 or 2, and 2 only when it’s super cold.

  • Warm and cozy
  • Uncomfortably hot
  • Straight-up lava

I always leave it on auto… haven’t smelled bacon yet.

They should take some of the heat from the seat and put it in the lukewarm steering wheel.

Mine is actually pretty warm… my ‘23 Prem’s steering wheel heat is solid.

That’s weird. I have a ‘22 GT, and honestly, without the indicator light, I wouldn’t even know it was on.

Glad it’s not just me. The steering wheel heat is barely noticeable.

Cranked it up to max without a coat once… my skin was red for two hours.

Still love it though.

I must be built differently because level 3 just feels nice and toasty. Level 2 is like someone just got up from the seat, and level 1 feels like it’s not on at all.

Same here. I don’t get what people mean by ‘molten lava’… I’ve never felt that.

It gets way too hot. Not in a good way.

It’s made for people like us in Canada who deal with -30C winters.

With a thick winter coat, it actually feels perfect.

True… level 3 is on for all of February here.

Reminds me of those special Christmas treats from the Schweddy company.

They definitely tuned the heat for Michigan winters. Works great for us here.
