It’s not just about power, gear ratios can be either too much or too little depending on your power levels.

I mentioned that he was focused on numbers regarding quarter-mile times, not dyno figures. Are you paying attention? I never said that dyno numbers matter. What I did say is that the 2018 model produces more power, but it’s irrelevant at the track because the transmission results in the same elapsed time.

The 18+ features dual fuel injection, which allows it to make more power even before any fuel delivery upgrades. With modifications, it outperforms the Gen 2 in terms of speed.

Stock for stock, They have the same 1/4 mile time. You will make more power with the 18 but you will be hampered by the transmission with similar mods. Power isn’t the only factor that makes a car fast or slow.
