How Can Spark Plugs be Torqued Without a Torque Wrench?

I just got some plugs and coils for my '03 5.4, and I’m curious! Is there a safe way to tighten the plugs properly without using a torque wrench? I don’t want to risk blowing anything out, you know?

Just grab a 3/8" ratchet and make sure you tighten them down nice and snug.

Haha, that’s quite a creative solution! But yeah, joking aside, I get what you’re saying. It’s pretty risky to just guess the torque on the plugs because you could end up either over-tightening them or not tightening them enough, which could cause some serious issues.

I’d definitely recommend investing in a torque wrench. It’s the safest and most accurate way to get the job done right. If budget’s a concern, maybe it’s worth saving up for one to ensure everything’s properly taken care of under the hood.
