Ford has announced plans to cut 4,000 jobs in Europe over the next three years. This move is part of the company’s ongoing restructuring efforts. The decision is expected to impact various departments across the region, though specific details about which roles will be affected have not been fully disclosed yet.
Yet again, employees are left finding out about redundancies through the news instead of being directly informed by Ford. Disappointed, but not surprised. Again.

There was a European Town Hall where this was announced, just about 2 hours ago. They knew before the news embargo was lifted. US employees didn’t know unless they were told in advance.
@chrisco
Ford of Europe worker here. Everybody in my department found out through the BBC news.
Ford is slowly disappearing from Europe.

That’s what happens when you sell cars that no one wants.

In America, Ford sells trucks and vans. And police cars, but mostly trucks and vans. What’s a competitor to a Ford van in Europe? I’m curious. Other than Mercedes Sprinters.
@Olivia
Opel, Renault, Citroen all have competitors to the Ford Transit. Ford trucks are not popular in Europe.

I hope you aren’t cursed with the Dodge Ram ProMaster vans. Those are the worst vehicles ever created.
