Not sure about 617 to 603 pump but the 603 pump will literally bolt to a 606 with no modifications. I’d look on diesel pump uk he has a great YouTube channel or diesel mechen.

Where’d you get the carbon plate for the gearshift or is it custom?
It’s actually a piece of hammer formed aluminum with carbon fiber wrap that I had laying around. The aluminum was easy to shape but scratched too easily so I wrapped it.

Question… why the ford axles over the Toyota stuff?
The strength. The axle shafts are much larger than the Toyota and the gears are huge. Front ring gear is 9.75 inches and the rear is 10.5 inches. They are also much simpler to work on. No cone washer, no 54mm nuts, no wiper seals, no grease filled joints. Also a much larger aftermarket. The housings are way stronger and wider so more stable. I dented my factory rear axle housing pretty bad at one point and put a hole in the front.

Great rig! What about the possible zf8 conversion… how hard or easy do you think the install would be?
My only hold up right now is transmission and motor adapters as well as a good controller for the trans. I like Holly stuff and I’m not willing to change that part of the build. As of right now Holly doesn’t have a way to control a zf so for now I’m just chilling with my 4l80e.

I’m curious about these mega builds… why choose an 80 series chassis over anything else?
Not sure why people are downvoting you it’s a reasonable question. For me I never planned on going this far it just kind of happened. But the 80 is perfect for what I want to do. It’s big enough to bring all the luxury I want but still small enough to get around in the woods compared to like a 100 or 200. I like the 80 platform for rock landing type stuff. I just want to…
