I got my Mach E without a front plate bracket. I think it looks good without it, but I’m concerned about getting pulled over. I’ve seen other Mach E’s without it too, but I’m not sure if it’s okay or if the cops just let it slide. I’ve heard that the law requires it, but why do they sell cars without it? I asked the dealership to send me the bracket just in case I decide to install it later. What do you think? Necessary or not?
Front plates are required in Ontario.
The police may not stop you for it, but if you’re pulled over for something else, you might get a fine.
Yes
@Presley
Same here. This was how it came when Ford delivered it to my house.
I’m from Toronto and honestly, every Mach-E I’ve seen has the front plate bracket.

Maybe you haven’t been looking closely. I tried to test it out yesterday, waiting to pass another Mach E, and I noticed it didn’t have the bracket. Also, if you check Auto Trader, many Mach E’s don’t have it. But yes, I agree most likely have it.
I don’t live in Ontario, but where I’m from the law is the same. I didn’t put the front plate on because I like how it looks. Many cars around here don’t have it either, and I’ll just take the fine if it comes.

In a lot of places, not having a front plate can be a reason to pull you over. There was even a case where a lady’s tinted windows helped the police bust a $50 million drug ring.

Lucky for me, I just shut down my $55 million illegal dog import business. Whew.
@Angelo
Timely .
@Angelo
That’s convenient

Same here. I got pulled over once in an old car without the front plate, and they just gave me a warning. I put it on and moved on. But for my Mach E, I’m still running without it until I get pulled over.
Had one in BC, now I have one in Ontario. It’s just a plate.

Yes! I was blown away, well, as much as one can be about a car wash.

Just got mine two months ago. I love driving it. Thanks for the car wash tip, I’ll check it out.
@Finnegan
It’s like suds, drive up to pay, go through the wash, and if you want, you can go around for an interior clean. Great job for $42.
And welcome to the club! May your electric pony bring you joy!
