I have a 2012 Ford Focus SE and I’m wondering if I can use this fluid in the transmission. Has anyone tried it on a similar car?
You need XT 11 QDC

But find a retailer that has Motorcraft. It’s crazy how these stores ignore the manufacturer’s recommendations. They’ll sell you the wrong fluid without hesitation.
@Terry
Just order it online.
Not for a Ford Focus.
Zero chance I’d use that… transmissions are expensive.

We had to have our 2012 Focus’ transmission rebuilt about 8 times before 150,000 miles. Expensive, yes. If it wasn’t under warranty, the minimum cost was about $1,300, upwards of over $3,000.
Always check your owner’s manual and make sure you have the correct fluids. That’s the best way to be 100% certain.
No, this will 100% trash a DPS6. XT-11 is the Ford part number for the fluid you need.
Better not.
I use this in my GMC, 6 QTs or one gallon and two QTs.
No sir, that won’t work in the DPS6, that’s auto trans fluid. Your trans is 100% not an auto trans. Ford transmission tech here.
It’s for a dual clutch transmission.

No. You need DCT fluid. The transmission won’t feel or shift right if you use this.
I’m pretty sure Ford uses Mercon, but one way to be sure is to Google what your car uses.

They do, but that specific car does not. Do not buy and use that fluid OP.
It’s a Focus, the tranny is already cooked in it.
