Are these red flags…?

Thoughts on this 2018 Raptor deal?

So, I know someone selling a 2018 Ford F150 Raptor with these details:

  • Model: 2018 Ford F150 SuperCrew Cab, Raptor 802A luxury package
  • Mileage: 128,000
  • Recent 100k service: replaced cams, bearings, hoses, and installed a new A/C unit
  • Price: $35,000

Upgrades include:

  • 20” bronze wheels
  • K&N air filter and intake
  • ADD Stealth Fighter front bumper
  • Moon roof
  • Leveling kit
  • Under-seat storage
  • Upgraded sound system
  • Plus more not listed

I’ve heard that the cams and hoses were common issues with Gen 2 Raptors. Anything else I should be cautious about given the mileage? How’s the powertrain reliability holding up on these?

Total cringe on this one…

20-inch wheels on a Raptor? Who does that?

It’s because most of them never leave the highway or a Starbucks drive-thru.

True! All show, no go

When you say cams and bearings, are you talking cam phasers? Phasers are common, but actual cams and internal parts… nah. Hard pass on this one. It’s got too many mods and the price is way too high for the miles.

@Rowen
Yeah, cam phasers, sure. But wheel bearings at this mileage? If they’re touching cams, definitely skip.

At least we know it’s never been off-road.

I think they updated the cam phasers, so they should be okay now. That 10-speed transmission though… could go either way.

The taste level here is painful to look at.

Honestly? Every part of it.

Hey, if you’re interested, I’ll sell you my 2020 with the 802A package.

They say ‘Just got a full service’… but that was 28k miles ago! I’d pass on this and look for something with lower miles and a better service history. The cam situation just seems off.

Look at that front bumper… someone actually paid to make it look worse?

Those wheels and tires… yikes. Just awful.

Biggest red flag? That giant Ford logo.
