Has anyone used an extension cable with a Tesla charger while using an adapter? I found a few on Amazon, and my adapter is coming on Monday. Just wondering if anyone has tried this and if it actually works. Any recommendations or warnings?
There’s no such thing that works properly. Not a real option.
Avoid anything like that from Amazon. Many DC fast charger cables are liquid-cooled, and as far as I know, there’s no safe extension cable for them.
Bad idea to use an extension on a DC fast charger. Those cables are liquid-cooled, and you don’t need an extension anyway. Just pull up closer and use the charger that fits.
I’ve come across some that don’t say they work with Superchargers… I was mostly hoping to use one for Superchargers if possible.

You’re asking for a fire hazard. This is a great way to ruin your car!
A2Z is working on one that might be available soon. I wouldn’t trust other brands right now. Check out the State of Charge YouTube channel—Tom did a demo on it.
Thanks for the info! I didn’t realize Supercharger cables are liquid-cooled, so I guess an extension for them isn’t a thing yet. I was hoping to make charging easier, not for home use but for Superchargers. Looks like there’s one in development, so I’ll keep an eye out for it!
