Anyone else had a dealership treat them this well?

I bought my 2020 used from a Ford dealership about an hour away. I’ve picked up a few work trucks from them before, and it’s always been a smooth process.

When I got my Raptor, I also got a warranty. A couple of months ago, I had a small door lock issue. They gave me a loaner truck while they fixed mine, and I got it back quickly without paying anything.

A few weeks ago, I started hearing a grinding noise from my front driver’s side wheel when stopping. After checking my brakes and looking around this forum, I learned about the IWE hubs and how they tend to fail. There’s even a service bulletin about capping the vacuum lines instead of actually fixing the problem.

I replaced the vacuum solenoid and check valve since they’re common failure points, but it didn’t solve the issue. I called my salesman to explain what was going on and asked if a tech could call me. The head mechanic reached out, and we talked about the problem. I asked if their approach was to cap the lines instead of fixing the hubs, and he said they know about the TSB but don’t do that because it’s not a real fix. He told me if I could leave the truck for a couple of days, they’d replace the hub and do the job right.

After that, my salesman called to say they had a loaner truck ready for me whenever I could come in. I dropped my truck off today, and the owner of the dealership even came out to chat.

Now I’m driving a brand-new F-150 loaner and feeling really thankful. Just wanted to share this experience.

Maybe hold off on celebrating until your truck is actually fixed. Sounds like it’s still up in the air.

You’re lucky. I bought my 2019 and didn’t notice they had covered a windshield crack with some kind of puff paint. Took two days to get the sales manager on the phone, and they told me to file an insurance claim since Florida has a $0 deductible on windshields once a year. I refused because I had proof it was already broken when I bought it and was still within the 45-day window.

They sent a company to replace it with non-OEM glass, but the installer told me, ‘I saw the purchase order, so I brought the right glass. You’re getting Ford glass, not the cheap stuff. I don’t care how cheap the dealership is.’

Wish my dealership was as good as yours.

Breaking up your post into paragraphs would make it a lot easier to read.

Why is everyone so negative? The person who posted this just wanted to share a good experience.

Let’s see how you feel in two months when the work is actually done.

Good to hear there are still decent dealerships out there.
