Curious if anyone else out there has a soft spot for the 3V S197. Let’s hear about it!

Looks super clean! Love it.
I absolutely love mine. It’s not perfect, but it’s the best car I’ve ever owned. It’s reliable, simple to work on, and has saved my skin more than once. I did a bit of work on the suspension, and wow, it handles corners like a dream now. And it’s a classic in the making, one of Ford’s best in my opinion. Plus, everything is right there when I need to work on it – a mechanic’s dream. Can’t believe it’s still running smooth with 198,000 miles and counting!
@Brody
Glad to hear it! Mine’s over 230k and still kicking

Long-mile legends!
@Brody
So from what you’re saying, you definitely like the S197, huh?
Totally agree. I’ve owned two and loved both. There’s just something raw and fun about them, plus the classic throwback look they nailed!
Yesss! That’s a great car! I know the S197 isn’t flawless, and sure, there are always faster ones out there. But for me, around 300 horsepower is just right, enough to have fun without pushing my limits. Plus, I really appreciate its straightforward design.

Not her best angle, but I polished and waxed her up last weekend. This shot’s from the day after
They’re awesome cars. Funny how folks used to give me grief for not having the ‘newer’ 4.6 engine. Guess time’s proven them wrong!
Yes sir, love those smoked out turn signals, such a tiny thing that makes our cars look so much better.
Bumper is actually a California special bumper, great upgrade from stock, makes it lower and more aggressive.
Here’s the back!
