I’m really happy to get this before the 2-door Heritage is gone for 2025. I’m coming from an EV, so the gas mileage is a bit of an adjustment, but the handling is fun. I’ve done 5500 miles in just 3 months. One feature I didn’t expect to like but really do is the auto start/stop. With the manual, if you need to keep the oil circulating or are stopping for a second, just keep the clutch in while it’s in gear and it keeps running. If you’re stuck in traffic, put it in neutral, and the engine shuts down.
@Aubrey
Does the engine restart when you press the clutch? I never thought about start/stop systems on a manual.

Yes, it does. It’s pretty cool. I watch the cross traffic so it’s smooth when the light turns green. If it’s a long wait, it will restart itself to protect the battery and HVAC.
@Aubrey
I actually like this feature too, especially if it helps with gas mileage. I don’t get why people on YouTube turn it off as soon as they get in the MT Bronco. And if you manage to stall it, just press the clutch and it restarts.
@Terry
Exactly! I’m not a fan of auto start/stop for a few reasons: the oil circulation to a hot turbo, and it shuts off at a stop sign only to start again when you release the brake. It also causes extra wear on the starter. With the manual, you can work around the first two issues, and by doing that, it reduces starter wear.
@Aubrey
I agree with you. I was skeptical about auto start in the beginning, but it’s grown on me over time.
@Aubrey
From what I know about Ecoboost engines, the turbos have a water jacket. I’m curious if the water pump is electric to keep fluid moving over the turbos. It’s cool to see a manual Bronco though. I think I’ve only seen one in the wild. Most are automatic.
@Aubrey
I didn’t like the auto start/stop in my F150, but I don’t mind it in the MT Bronco.
Sweet ride .
Love that.
Looks great! I love my 2 DR BB. The manual transmission is so fun, especially the 2-3 gear pull.
Welcome to the club! I have the exact same build, but I added the ProCal tune. It’s definitely worth it, now it feels like a 2.7L with the 7-speed.

I’ve got the same one, but with an automatic.

Nice choice! I’ve been looking at the ProCal tune too but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I already use premium fuel, so it wouldn’t add much to the cost. I’ve driven the 2.7, and it’s a beast.
Manual for the win .
Amazing car! I love the manual. Can I ask what the sticker price was on it?

I don’t remember exactly, but I think it was around $50k. I got it a bit below MSRP due to some incentives. I leased it because the residual value was good for me, and my girlfriend will take it in about a year. She only drives about 200 miles a month.
The Heritage model was one of the most affordable ways to get the Sasquatch package. It’s crazy how many Broncos are priced over $60k. I knew this setup would be rare in the future, so it made sense for me.
