Hello, I have a 2017 Ford Escape SE with a 4-cylinder engine. Recently, the check engine light has been turning on and off by itself. Over the past six months, the car has shut down three times, displaying an overheating warning, even though the engine isn’t actually overheating. I took it to Kal Tire, where they replaced the sensor, but the problem has occurred twice more since then. Unfortunately, it takes at least two weeks to get an appointment at a Ford dealer. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
