I’m hearing a loud ticking noise from my 2017 Ford Escape. Can anyone identify the part responsible for this? Just want to confirm if this sound is normal. Thanks in advance!
That’s not normal for a 2017 Escape. It could be a few things, but the most common culprits are usually related to the engine or exhaust system.
It might be something as simple as a loose heat shield or a more serious issue like a lifter or injector problem.
If the noise is getting louder or changing, it’s best to get it checked out by a mechanic.
That part is one large piece that fits into all those hoses; you can’t change it by itself unless you can hack something. I’ll find out the name of the thing I did on my sister’s car.
