I’m having an issue with my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid where nothing happens when I turn the key—no lights, no AC, nothing. The only way it starts is by jumping it from a battery in the backseat.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this be a battery issue, a problem with the wiring, or something else? Any advice on what to check or how to fix this would be really helpful!
I had a similar issue with my old Ford Escape, where it wouldn’t start unless I jumped it, and nothing worked when I turned the key. It turned out to be a problem with the 12V battery, which had died and wasn’t holding a charge. In your case, it sounds like the battery could be the culprit, especially since it starts with a jump. I’d recommend testing the battery first, and if it’s not the battery, check the connections and wiring to make sure everything is secure. Replacing the 12V battery solved my issue, and it might do the same for you.
